Ulinzi Fc’s Brian Birgen has been recalled up to the national team.
This comes after Harambee Stars Coach Stanley Okumbi replaced five Gor Mahia players who were unable to report to camp due to club engagements.
Harambee Stars is preparing for an international friendly match against Malawi that is set for Tuesday 18, at Machakos Stadium from 3 pm.
Other players who have been called to camp include Victor Majid (Chemilil FC), Zeka Wakoli (GFE FC), Victor Ogedo (Nzoia FC), Shami Mwinyi (Thika United), Ian Otieno (AFC Leopards) and James Saruni (Ulinzi FC).
Gor Mahia Players who have been replaced include Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Harun Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Kenneth Muguna.
At the same time, AFC Leopards forward Paul Kiongera is out injured while Ulinzi Stars’ Omar Bongi will not be available since he has been sent for further military studies. Tusker FC’s Noah Wafula has been given time off to condole with his family following the recent passing of his son but he will join the team later in the week.
