A business man claims his life is danger following threats from the Akasha family in Mombasa.
The business tycoon says that he has received threats after one of the media houses ran a story- Nairobi-police-hunt-gang-led-by-granny/ about a group of thieves led by an eighty year old woman .Yussuf A.Abdallah who believes the thieves are well protected by the Akasha family are walking free after their series of crimes allegedly committed in various parts of the Country.
He raised a red flag about their activities after which they recently attacked him in South C and beat him with kicks and blows near a petrol stations.The five member gang is composed of two young men , two young women and one elderly woman.
”They steal from people and M-pesa shops with no arms.This has also been raised on social media by citizens who have fallen victims to these smart thieves. They are of Arab origin and well connected because every time they are arrest they walk free. They have well mastered their art by pretending not to know Swahili and English and asking around “After the attack I reported my case at Langata police station where I am still waiting for a response from the police.My case was under this file OB 21/29/09/2015″says Yusuf.
Yusuf claims his life is in danger after he received a phone call threatening him if he does not stop exposing the thieves.”They called by around 11.45 pm and asked me to stop telling people about their activities. I am a worried man now because I cannot spend in my house due to fear of death by these people.I am calling upon the police to investigate further and get these thieves to book and they may run away from the country any time soon.”

The Akasha family has previously been linked to drug trafficking scandals in Kenya.
